Thurs, Aug 21: Anatomy for Pilates: All about the Shoulders

with Kim Cremin

12p PT/3p ET

The shoulders are the most mobile joints in the body and the shoulder girdle is a complex system that requires a delicate balance between stability, range of motion and strength (mobility). This mobility is not only important for specific sports, but also essential for performing many everyday activities that we take for granted until we have pain. In this combination lecture-to-practice workshop you’ll learn how to spot dysfunctional movement patterns and how to use Pilates props and apparatus to help clients improve the biomechanics of their shoulders and layer in more functionally challenging exercises to gain more mobility and strength. This workshop addresses equipment used in group training but this information is also great for private training.
