Meet Your Master Trainer!

Samantha Palmer
Samantha’s passion for movement with strength and awareness began at an early age with dance. She attributes her ability to continue to dance/perform classical ballet to her Pilates practice. She was introduced to Pilates at the University of California – Irvine while majoring in dance, and immediately noticed a huge improvement in her strength and technique as a result of the Pilates exercises. Sam’s passion for Pilates continued to grow, and after graduating from UCI with a B.A. in Dance Performance, she was invited to study to become a Pilates instructor at the Studio Du Corps in Costa Mesa under the tutelage of her amazing professor;Diane Diefenderfer. By her second year of study she was teaching Pilates mat classes. After two and a half years at Studio Du Corps, she relocated to San Francisco to pursue a career in dance. Returning to her hometown of Bakersfield to recuperate from an illness, Sam realized how much her community would benefit from Pilates. She began teaching and received Pilates Certifications through Balanced Body University and Club Pilates. Samantha is the Lead Instructor for her home Club Pilates studio and is a Club Pilates Master Trainer. Sam is dedicated to her seven year old daughter, Maddie, who learned about Pilates from the inside out, since Sam was able to continue her Pilates practice and instruction throughout her pregnancy up to the day she gave birth. Samantha is passionate about sharing her love of Pilates and believes every person, at any age, can enjoy the ease of movement Pilates offers and will make a difference in their lives if they begin a regular practice.
