Meet Your Master Trainer!

Elyssa Turcan

Elyssa Turcan is a Murrysville local that has been teaching Pilates for 5 years. She received her certification and apprenticed in New York City at The Kane School. After completing her certification she taught for a year at Equinox in the Upper West Side. When she returned to Pittsburgh she began teaching at Club Pilates North Hills. After Covid, Elyssa resumed teaching at Club Pilates Shadyside where she still teaches on Thursday mornings. Once Club Pilates Murrysville opened she became the Lead Instructor and as of 2023 the Master Trainer for both Club Pilates Shadyside and Club Pilates Murrysville. She is also certified in Barre Above, TRX, and a FMT Mobility Specialist. Elyssa originally discovered Pilates during college at Point Park University pursuing her BFA in Musical Theater. It was a fun way to work out and mentally challenging. It was also the first time a form of fitness did not aggravate her chronic low back pain and actually made it feel better! Once Elyssa got on the reformer she was hooked. When she's not in the studio, she's a dedicated wife and mom, loves any kind of traveling, all kinds of food and her happy place is a nice glass of wine and a good show. Elyssa has so many things to be grateful for because of Pilates. She has met so many wonderful people and developed some of the best friendships, her schedule has allowed her to spend quality time with her family, and most of all, she loves inspiring people to be stronger and feel better in their bodies than they ever thought they could.
