Meet Your Master Trainer!

Cynthia Badrack
Cynthia’s Pilates journey began in 1995. She became certified through and mentored by Romana Kryzanowska, a direct descendant of the teachings of Joseph Pilates. After completing her 600 hour training program, she remained under Romana’s instruction until 2001. During those years, she taught her own clients and helped to mentor the apprentices who were part of Romana’s program;she helped to prepare these students for their teaching and testing at 200 and 400 hours. Romana’s influence has been lasting and has inspired Cynthia to be a supportive mentor;by sharing her passion for Pilates and its fundamentals and basics, she gives teacher trainers the tools they need to become responsible and confident instructors. Her guidance ensures that they are trained to understand the basic principles of the Pilates Method of Mind and Body Control, and she is dedicated to seeing them through to receiving their certificates. With a BFA in Dance and MA in Directing, Cynthia takes her experience as a dancer and physical therapy assistant and helps young teachers learn that Pilates can help heal bodies through movement. Her commitment to on-going education also included Laban Full Effort Work. Laban is a method and language used to describe, visualize, interpret, and document human movement. It draws from multiple fields to include but not limited to anatomy and kinesiology, and is used in many fields such as training for professional athletes, performers, and health professionals.
