Emily started movement as a young equestrian and dancer. Starting from ballet as a young child to tap and then onto Middle Eastern dance as a young adult. Her active lifestyle and early desire to learn forms of movement that were both mentally and physically challenging led Emily to Pilates. Emily has a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Humboldt State University. She is certified through Body Arts and Science International (BASI). Emily continues to study and attend specialty training courses on movement and healing modalities. Having scoliosis herself has also been a motivation to find balance and to help clients find balance within the body, which she personally found through Pilates. The strength and flexibility she gained helped tremendously with her scoliosis. Emily brings a deep sense of consciousness to her teaching. She is excited to help her clients gain awareness on the strength and potential of their own bodies. Emily works with people of all fitness backgrounds, focusing on strengthening for everyday functional movement, athletic performances and simply to move well.
