Dianne Vita
Dianne's Pilates journey started in December 2021. I was very overweight, obese actually, and having a difficult time moving around. My husband & I had been invited to 4 separate weddings between May of 2022, and June of 2023. The weddings were in California, New York City & Portugal. I really didn’t like how I looked or felt. I knew I needed a change. I took the intro class, and made the commitment to myself to attend every class I signed up for. I also started eating healthier. The thing was I had tried Pilates before. I had done the mat classes on YouTube, and they were just too difficult. I even bought a Pilates chair secondhand, but didn’t understand how to use it. But after that first intro class, I felt comfortable to learning Reformer Pilates. It wasn’t easy, but slowly, over time, my strength increased. Things I couldn’t do a few months earlier became easier. I was also losing weight, thanks to my new eating plan plus the exercises. I could move more easily. I could get up from the floor without it being a multi step operation. I became hooked on my classes & my teachers. I challenged myself to do things I never could like push-ups from my toes. To my surprise, I could do them! I wanted to immerse myself completely in this new world of challenging exercises. I moved up from 1.0 classes to 1.5, then quickly to 2.0 & 2.5. Then I decided I wanted to teach Pilates as well. I absolutely love it & can’t wait to share my love of Pilates with my students.
