Rebecca
Instructor
Originally from Alberta, Rebecca (Becky) is a Pilates instructor and a professional contemporary dance artist, based on Treaty 1 Territory. She has studied and taught a variety of movement approaches throughout Canada and Europe. Becky holds a BA Honours Degree in Dance from the University of Winnipeg and is a graduate of the Senior Professional Program of the School of Contemporary Dancers, where she is currently faculty. She is also the founder and artistic director of Sawdon Dance, is a wedding officiant, and a dog-mom of four!
Becky was thankful to find Pilates after her second knee surgery, as it was essential to her recovery and is now a staple of her self-care and movement practice. She is Stott-Pilates certified in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Spine Support, Arc Barrel, and Ladder Barrel. Rebecca is an experienced instructor who has worked with all ages and abilities, from professional training students to inexperienced movers and at-risk youth. Her extensive work as a movement instructor, dancer, rehearsal director, and choreographer, has made her an excellent communicator with a keen ability to see what is happening in her client’s bodies. Rebecca loves working with people and is excited to help her clients understand and improve their movement pathways, so they can move through life with awareness and intention.
