Anita Walker

In her formative years, Anita was very active in gymnastics, dance movement and sports, and she danced Ballet all the way through her college years. Anita acquired a passion for fitness and health and she received her Bachelors degree in Health Care Administration. Most recently, Anita received her Masters degree in Nutrition Education from American University. Anita has taught numerous classes in Chronic Disease Self-management and Diabetes Self-management strategies to patients at Suburban hospital in Bethesda, MD. She has also worked in medical sales for many years. Anita first took up pilates back in 2011 to keep her limbs long and taut, while working as a runway model. She later joined Club Pilates in Bethesda as a regular member in 2018, where she developed a love for it. Anita’s passion for Pilates comes from the recognition that Pilates is beneficial for long term physical body maintenance and healing. Anita’s dedication to physical health, her strong energy and spirit and belief that strengthening the mind and body have a direct impact on one's happiness are what keeps her and her clients motivated to do better. In her free time, Anita enjoys traveling the world and spending time with her family and her 14-year-old dog named “Chloe”.
