Courtney S

Courtney was a Division I field hockey player at Indiana University when she first became interested in Pilates. She was looking for an outlet to workout that was different than running and more independent than what was available in the team setting. She found Pilates and loved how it made her body feel and how it was a challenge in a way she was not used to; a true mind body connection where she had to have complete coordination., Soon she became a Pilates enthusiast. So upon graduating in 2003 she moved to Boulder, Colorado to pursue her passion. She took months of privates and her enthusiasm was taken to a new level when she felt the changes in her body and the benefits of the mind body connection. Courtney then moved to Florida to attend the over 500 hour, comprehensive, New York based Power Pilates classical Pilates training program. She completed the program in 2004 and became devoted to helping people feel and understand how to correct daily compensations and weaknesses through developing uniformity in the body and supporting the movement from the core. Courtney teaches privates and group classes and enjoys both for different reasons. With over 15 years of teaching experience on all apparatus, her passion is helping people move and feel better challenging them properly make the connection to their core. Courtney also has attended a TRX and Barre Above training, and is a Master Trainer for Club Pilates helping to educate people on the Pilates method.
