Kelli P
Lead Pilates Instructor
Kelli suffered from chronic back and shoulder pain and she began physical therapy when she was eleven. She was intrigued about Pilates, took her first lesson in 2002 and never looked back. She jokes that at 23 she couldn’t raise her arms to change a lightbulb but now can change every lightbulb in the house! While she loves the footwork element of Pilates her favorite exercise is the teaser because it takes complete control to execute… you can’t cheat on a teaser!
Kelli teaches a contemporary style and stays true Joseph Pilates principles. She likes to challenge her students and has occasionally heard the murmur of “Mean Kelli”, though those murmuring students are always the first to book her next class. Through personal experience Kelli knows that Pilates truly is for every body. Her passion is working with people with scoliosis and those who are recovering from injuries or suffering from pronounced imbalances. Identifying different body movement patterns, muscle imbalances and alignment issues and then helping to correct them gets Kelli excited to come to work every day.
Kelli received her first Pilates certification from Infinite Dynamics and went on to receive a comprehensive certification from the Pilates Education Institute. Additionally, Kelli has a BA from Humboldt State in Recreational Administration.
Outside of the studio Kelli loves to stand up paddle board, hike, camp, spend time with her 4 boys, and tend to her chickens.
