Allison C
Pilates Instructor
Allison first found Pilates in 2018 through cross training to improve her flexibility, strengthen her muscles, and perfect her balance as a ballerina. After spending 12 years studying ballet, she made the decision to focus on getting an education and pursuing a career in engineering rather than a career as a professional ballerina.
Having gone to Pilates twice a week for the past three years, she joined her mom at her local Club Pilates in 2021 where they continued taking classes together. Allison has previously trained with San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet Company, and our Club Pilates Accelerated Teacher Training Program. She initially joined the club as a member and not long after became a sales associate for her local studio. Allison had always had it in mind to one day become a Pilates instructor.
There was only one barrier: AGE! As soon as Allison turned 18, she signed up and began her training. Here she is months later with a certification under her belt! Pilates draws Allison in because of its focus on form. While most exercise programs are not for everyBODY, Pilates is.
With a simple focus on form and basic movement, she loves how Pilates is able to rejuvenate and heal the body. Single-leg footwork’s developé is her favorite move; form in footwork is everything to Allison because it seems so simple, yet it takes very little to feel all of those muscles that no one knew they had! You can probably guess by now,
Allison’s teaching style places a focus on form and those little movements that are SPICY! Outside of the studio, Allison is a student at Cal Poly SLO studying biomedical engineering. She enjoys the outdoors almost as much as she loves coffee.
Come on by and take a class with Allison, she would love to meet you!
