Veronica is a 500-hour comprehensive Pilates instructor with a certification through Club Pilates. She is also Mat I-based trained through Power Pilates. Veronica is people-centric and seeks to help others in their wellness journey. She strongly believes in Pilates as a path to staying physically and mentally
strong. Veronica began her fitness journey when she was 30, after having her second child. Exercise was her way of releasing stress. She became an avid runner, completing 12 half marathons. While searching for a way to remain active yet not put her body under so much stress, she started reformer-based Pilates and quickly noticed a significant increase in core strength. Additionally, after witnessing family health problems, she dedicated herself to staying healthy and wanting to help others stay healthy. She became a Pilates instructor to promote and develop strength in other people. Veronica comes from a 24-year college teaching background. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Regent University in Virginia Beach, where she focused on socio psychological aspects of human communication. Her interests include motivational and behavior-change communication to help
people get and stay healthy. Veronica is married and has two grown children, ages 20 and 23. She moved to Collin County with her husband seven years ago after living a nomadic life as a military spouse trailing her husband’s Air Force
Career. She has lived in 10 cities (9 in the United States and one in Africa) but is a proud Native Texan born in San Antonio, Texas. She enjoys taking her three dogs, Barney, Betty, and Peanut, on walks or on trips to the dog park. When
she is not teaching Pilates, she is busy traveling to visit her family, reading, exercising, and attending concerts.
