Amanda J
Instructor
Amanda began her Pilates journey after injuring her knee in a half marathon in 2016. Even though she had always been an avid runner and played college tennis, she never really worked her core and after a few months of Pilates, the ankle and knee pain she had been experiencing for years were gone. Pilates healed her body, calmed her mind, fed her soul and she wanted to share the magic with as many people as possible. She left her corporate career in 2018 to enter an 800 hour classical and contemporary Pilates teacher training program and began teaching in 2019. When she is not teaching, she is usually chasing her dogs, spending time with her teenage son or dropping in on Pilates classes around the city and in her travels around the world to get new ideas and perspectives to bring back to her classes. Amanda is a Chicago native who now lives in Oak Park and is excited to be part of the city team!
