Priscilla
Certified Instructor
Priscilla is a certified fitness professional with 40 years experience in the industry. Training to become a professional ballet dancer, Priscilla was heartbroken to discovered that she would not be able to realize her dream due to foot injuries, and at 18 years old had the first of several surgeries. She discovered group exercise a couple years later and fell in love with it, becoming an instructor soon after taking her first class. In the past two decades Priscilla has traveled the country as a fitness presenter certifying instructors in several formats including mat Pilates, indoor cycle and group weight training. She was a regular health and fitness contributor on the local NPR station and was a regular call-in fitness expert on KJR. Priscilla worked as a Senior Fitness Specialist for Group Health Cooperative and has helped develop successful group exercise programs at several top fitness facilities. In 2005 Priscilla was trained by Mari Winsor at her famed Hollywood studio, fell in love with the Pilates method, and has been teaching it ever since. Becoming certified on the reformer was a natural progression adding another layer to her love of Pilates. Aside from Pilates, Priscilla teaches several other group fitness formats as well. There are many benefits of exercise but for Priscilla the number one benefit is improved mental health. Her goal for her clients is to help them feel better about all aspects of their lives - mentally, physically and emotionally. Priscilla has four adult children and currently lives in south Seattle with her three rescue dogs.
