Denise Koch
Instructor
Denise was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She earned a degree in English/Secondary Ed and began her teaching career at the same middle school she once attended. Later she earned a Masters in Education and participated in grant projects with various high schools in the area. Eventually life took her to New Hampshire and she was later sidelined by Lyme Disease. No energy for her favorite activities, she tried yoga to sooth the aching joints and that actually lead to an introduction to Pilates. In 2018, she found Club Pilates. This reformer based workout was a game changer and helped fix all of the long term damage from high impact activities. She was almost immediately addicted and took as many classes as possible. Stubborn weight came off, flexibility and strength increased more than she thought possible. Finally, she decided to combine her love of teaching with her love of Pilates and became a comprehensively certified instructor. Denise teaches several class types and levels, but strives to continue growing as a pilates teacher and student.
