Colleen Dutertre

Colleen's passion for teaching Pilates stems from the belief that mindful movement is medicine. She has personally experienced the profound health benefits of Pilates in her own body and is inspired to share her practice with others. She strives to create a safe, supportive learning environment through active listening, gentle guidance, and professionalism. Her education includes completion of BASI Pilates Instructor Foundation Course, Club Pilates Teacher Training, and two years of study with Somatic Experiencing International (SEI). Her background and specialty training provides her with a deep knowledge of the biology of stress in the body. Her teaching style blends gentle techniques for nervous system regulation and pain reduction with traditional Pilates instruction to increase the healing capacity of each Pilates session. Beyond the Pilates studio, her favorite things include sunrises, exploring diverse cultures and cuisines, and generally soaking up time in nature.
