Dana DeFrancesco

Dana Rose DeFrancesco MA, CPI, LMT, ERYT-500, DMT (she/her) is a Dancer, Yogi, Controlologist, Healer, Body Worker, Builder and Teacher. In 1992 she was introduced to Pilates (Contrology) and over the years found a home within this system. It has helped in the healing of many injuries and to hone a deep mind-body connection. A Pittsburgh native, she grew up in a hard working construction family. This work ethic has guided her well in her Pilates journey to reap the benefits of this holistic practice. Dana loves to help her students forge their own path to build stability, strength, flexibility and balance. She brings a playful vibe to her class, guiding an exploration in the body’s and mind’s possibilities to unlock health & happiness. Aside from her lifelong journey with Pilates, Dana received her BFA in dance/dance education at University of the Arts, was a professional dancer, has 800+ hours of training as a yoga teacher/therapist, is a licensed massage therapist/bodyworker, has several dance/movement therapist certifications and hold a masters in Sports Exercise Psychology.
