Mary found Pilates while focusing on her journey to better health after losing 50% of her body weight. She knew achieving her individual health goals needed to include increasing strength, flexibility, and mobility for lasting change. This is where Pilates entered her life. After trying multiple types of workouts and studios, Mary discovered Club Pilates. She found Pilates provided the strength, mobility, and flexibility she wanted, along with a mind-body connection she didn't know she needed. From there it was only a matter of time before her own practice evolved into a desire to share her love, gratefulness, and enthusiasm for Joseph Pilates' work, and she committed to becoming an instructor. While Mary studied the classical branch of Pilates, learning the exact methods Joseph Pilates used with his students; she enjoys the melding of classical and contemporary styles at Club Pilates. When not practicing and teaching Pilates, Mary enjoys hiking the beautiful mountains of the Scenic City with her husband, spending time with her two kitties, reading anything and everything, and visiting family, friends, and new places.
