Kimberly
Instructor
Kimberly Mashburn (Kimberly) was first introduced to Club Pilates in 2017 when she lived in Brookhaven GA and attended 3-4 classes a week before moving to Chattanooga in 2020. She was thrilled to learn that Club Pilates Northshore was opening in 2022 and was one of the first to enroll!
Kimberly began her career as a Registered Nurse and still maintains her licensure through volunteer work in the community and continuing education. She worked in various clinical roles, including as an adjunct professor for nursing students where her love of teaching bloomed! She served as CEO of a large medical practice and as the Administrator at a regional cancer center in Knoxville. Kimberly was offered an opportunity to move into the disability insurance industry and held leadership roles at Unum, Prudential and Hartford before becoming a full-time employee benefits consultant. She retired from full time consulting in April 2023 to pursue full-time Pilates instructor education via the 500-hour Club Pilates Accelerated Teaching Training, completing her full certification in August 2023.
Kimberly LOVES teaching Pilates and being able to utilize all of the apparatuses to make classes unique - and fun! Her knowledge of anatomy and physiology provides an opportunity to modify exercises for members who have injuries or limitations.
She earned a BSN from the UT Knoxville and a Masters in Hospital Administration from U of A. She holds a Life & Health Insurance License in the state of Tennessee and does freelance employee benefits consulting. In addition to Pilates, she enjoys cycling, cooking, golf and serves on the board of directors for the Black Creek Club's Ladies Golf Association.
