Shelley
Shelley has a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft Lauderdale, FL, and a BSE degree in Health Science from Baylor University. She has been practicing as a pediatric physical therapist in the Fort Worth/Keller area since 2001.
Knowing the benefits of Pilates since her days in PT school, Shelley sought out reformer based Pilates studios to begin focusing on a workout that would promote lengthening and strengthening with a low impact on her joints since she had started experiencing knee and low back pain with other more high impact workouts following the birth of her daughter. She found her home at Club Pilates and after several years of self-practice, she made the decision to go through the Teacher Training program to incorporate the practice of Pilates with the pre-teens she works with at her PT clinic.
After completing her certification, Shelley decided that her instruction in the principles of movement and stabilization of Pilates should not be limited to the patients in her clinic, but that she would also like to teach adults. She is excited to join the Club Pilates team and looks forward to sharing the benefits she has personally experienced through Pilates with others.
