Instructor
CJ is a educator, dancer, and choreographer working throughout the Tri-State area. She holds a New Jersey K-12 Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing, an Ed.M. in Dance Education from Rutgers University, a BFA in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, and a National Pilates Certification. CJ has been a dancer her whole life and has cross trained in Pilates for just as long. She knew that on top of being a dance educator that she wanted to be a certified Pilates instructor. As a dance educator, CJ proudly trains her students in somatic practices, including Pilates, as a conditioning and strengthening technique. Her artistic achievements include acting as the rehearsal assistant for Gerald Casel’s original work “Corpus”, and Kruti Shah’s original work “A Bollywood Wedding”, choreographed for University DanceWorks (UDW), the Dance Department’s touring dance company. CJ has taught at various dance studios and schools including East Brunswick Magnet High School in East Brunswick, New Jersey, Conerly Road Elementary School in Franklin, New Jersey, Hillcresf Elementary School in Franklin, New Jersey, Washington Rock Dance in Warren, New Jersey, and Hudson River Performing Arts Center in Fishkill, New York, and she is now proud to be a part of the Club Pilates family.
