Linda H-R
Instructor
Linda grew up in Southern California an avid skateboarder, skier, and varsity athlete, eventually gravitating to the study of classical jazz and ballet. As a dancer in her late teens she was first introduced to daily Pilates mat exercises as a way of strengthening and aligning the body. These mat exercises became part of her daily practice and continue to this day.
Linda loves movement of all kinds and has training in yoga and martial arts. Additionally, she has competitively raced mountain bikes and Hawaiian outrigger canoes, and is a veteran homeschooling parent of 3 amazing young adults. In 2016, after a debilitating Worker’s Comp case, Linda took private Pilates lessons 3-times weekly and quickly fell in love with working on the apparatus. After 30 lessons she knew that practicing Pilates had not only strengthened, but reconnected both her mind and body - and it changed her life. At that point she decided she would study Pilates in depth.
In early 2020 Linda retired from graphic design and began her Pilates teacher training. Due to the pandemic, an ankle surgery, and a cross-country move, the completion of her certification took a while! In 2023 she earned her Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Certification and became an instructor. She absolutely loves teaching, sharing her love of The Method, and continuing to develop her expertise with ongoing quality education and training.
Linda is a solid believer in the power of a regular Pilates practice, and that Pilates is for every body. As an instructor she enjoys teaching both classical and contemporary Pilates. She values inclusivity and strives to empower others as they make their mind-body connection, discover personal strength,
heal their body, and change their life!
