Judy B.
Pilates Instructor
In July 2020, during the Covid Pandemic, the Club Pilates North Bethesda studio reopened under restricted conditions and I began to attend small group Pilates classes daily. Newly retired from a career teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, I took on Pilates as a new challenge. The CPNB studio provided a safe and comfortable environment during Covid that allowed me to make this personal commitment and the benefits of this daily ritual were soon made clear in both my physical and emotional well being. My next step was a commitment to the Comprehensive Teacher Training Program in 2021 to deepen my personal pilates practice. As the training program progressed, I soon realized I wanted to share the pilates experience with others through teaching. As a retired Special Education teacher, I appreciated the diversity within pilates that met the fitness needs of both young and old, with flexibility to accommodate injuries and/or individual abilities. Now as an instructor, I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others as I continue on my own personal fitness journey.
