Pilates Instructor
Hi there, my name is Yessenia . I am originally from Boston, moved to Tampa in 2005. I have always had an admiration for health and recovery. Throughout high school, I participated in the HOSA Nursing program, through college I’ve completed hours of shadowing and volunteering under a handful of Physical and Occupational Therapist including a few at John Hopkins Hospital, then graduating from USF in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Health Sciences. After graduating high school, I had a benign tumor under my right shoulder blade requiring intense bone and muscle surgery, leading me into months of physical therapy with the inability to move my arm on my own. During my rehab experience, I fell in love with the smallest improvements. Growing more and more fond of how the body and muscles recovered. I encountered the love for Occupational Therapy and the ability to teach clients how to conduct their daily living activities independently. Throughout the years of studying and going to the gym, I not only found myself wanting more rehabilitation practices for my own body but wanting to improve my overall physical and mental health. I came across a Facebook ad of Club Pilates, beginning my new passion for fitness and recovery in 2019, a few years later enrolled into Club Pilates Teacher Training program and completing my 500 hours certification. Members like YOU inspire me everyday to show my love and appreciation for the body and it’s road to rehabilitate for your bodies and everyBody around me!
