Gail
Dancing since age six, Gail’s movement study began with classical ballet training in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Through dance, she discovered Pilates and completed her mat training with Taylor Lamanna in West Dundee, Illinois.
Gail moved to New York City in 2013 and spent the next seven years cutting her teeth in the wellness industry of NYC. She earned her Balanced Body comprehensive Pilates certificate with Ann Toran in Manhattan and had the privilege to teach in three boroughs of the city, in various settings, and with a variety of clients–professional dancers, pre- and post-natal, physical therapy patients, etc.–until the pandemic brought her home in 2020. Shifting to virtual group classes and privates ever since, Gail is excited to finally return to in-person teaching at CPMP!
In addition to being a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT, formerly known as PMA-CPT), Gail also holds certifications in TRX Suspension Training, YogaWorks 200-hour RYT, Balanced Body Barre, and AFAA Group Exercise. Never teaching the same class twice, Gail’s classes are fun, flow, and heavily focused on alignment and technique. She enjoys drawing from varied movement modalities and her cuing adds another unique element of expression and playfulness.
Gail strongly believes that the Mind-Body connection extends to the link between physical health and mental health. We’ll spend our time together exploring the methodology of Pilates as well as functional movement training. Her goal is for you to leave the studio feeling better than you did when you arrived.
