Instructor
Alexis has always enjoyed fitness and strength training, though she had to significantly reduce her intensity due to an autoimmune disease diagnosis 15 years ago. It was then that she turned to yoga which helped heal her body, which led to the completion of a 500 hour yoga teacher training program. As her health improved, she wanted to bring low impact strength training back into her routine. She has taken classes at Club Pilates for six years, the past three years she has been a student of weekly private training sessions. Through those lessons she developed the focus, stability, and strength that helped her "earn the next exercise," of the Pilates Method. Her first Hanging Pull Up on the Cadillac apparatus reminded her of hanging from playground equipment in elementary school. It was then she knew she wanted to help others experience the playfulness and feeling of accomplishment that Pilates offers. She loves to work on all of the apparatus and is known to remind her class, "chair and mat work keep us humble." She completed her training with Club Pilates in 2024 and is completing a Classical Pilates training in 2026.
