A love of all things active and fitness have led me to try everything from Zumba, to CrossFit, to HIIT, to Bikram Yoga, to Barre, to cycling, and weight lifting. Having done mat Pilates for years, I discovered Reformer Pilates 10 years ago at my local gym and fell instantly in love with it. Unlike other disciplines, the central focus of Pilates is about "control" and it completely shifted my perspective on how I view movement and fitness. I loved the classes so much that I decided to pursue my Pilates certification and become an instructor. As an instructor, my goal is to foster a sense of community and create a supportive environment. More importantly, I aim to create a fun and engaging class--full of laughter and silliness. Working out doesn't have to be all work and no play. In fact, I believe it to be the opposite. In addition to Pilates, I am also a certified Barre Above instructor, so expect to jam in my classes! Never one to shy away from a challenge, I continue to enjoy discovering new ways to keep my body active and energized. When not in the studio, you can find me running around after my 2 kids and dog!
