Alexis’s love of fitness and health started when she was three years old, learning tennis from her father. She continued playing tennis throughout her childhood and was even ranked #1 in Missouri during her high school years. She continued her love of fitness and health into her adult life, not only receiving her certification in the group fitness classes of cycling, step, Boot Camp, yoga, Silver sneakers and personal training but also working towards her full Pilates instruction certification with Club Pilates. “Pilates improves strength, particularly around the core, back, glutes and thighs. I also feel that it helps with flexibility and balance as well as focuses on coordination, posture, and body alignment. You get a full body workout, can build strength and toned muscles. It’s low impact but high intensity workout.”
