Pilates Instructor
Jamie Leigh started as a member with us in 2022 while she was finishing up her Teacher Training. She holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Jamie first discovered Pilates while in college and rediscovered it right before the pandemic. Jamie was looking into Pilates as a way of expanding her knowledge as a movement arts/dance teacher. The lock down gave her the time to pursue Teacher Training. Jamie Leigh wears many professional hats, she is a makeup artist for TV and Film, a dancer, performer, teacher and she is LOVING her new hat as a pilates instructor. She has an Emmy nomination for her work on American Horror Story Apocalypse and a Peabody award for excellence in storytelling in TV and Film. She holds multiple dance awards, teaches locally and does Middle Eastern Dance festivals across the US. She is a workshop and show producer and has acted as the Artistic Director for The Sekhmet Dance company for over 15 years.
Jamie Leigh shares her life with partner of 31 years, Johnny DeVilla. She is a pet lover with her devil dogs Elsa Oastara, Simon, Brando and cats Zaphoid and Ophelia. She has a great passion for her little birds particularly her hummingbirds, fussy squirrels, rescue animals and her Thunderbird Ford!
She had no way of knowing when she began her Pilates journey that it would become a new way of life! She is thrilled to join this amazing team as she knew she was home the minute she walked through the door.
