Kelli M.
Growing up Kelli was in the dance studio nearly every day! She participated in small stage productions and was member of a couple different performing groups. She hung up her dancing shoes when she started having children and worked as a Legal Assistant for the next 25+ years. Missing the joy that the movement of dance brought and being out of shape from sitting at a desk job for years, she started performing Pilates as a way to both relieve stress and rehabilitate her body. The love that she once felt from dance alone was now realized in her Pilates practice! Kelli also is in a graduate program finishing her degree in Clinical Counseling. Her goal is to work with individuals that have trauma(s). Pilates is part of that journey. When an individual has a traumatic experience, it is important to help them to regulate their nervous system. Breath is one of the first steps, which is a core tenants of Pilates. Working the deep muscles of our core also help to regulate and restore the physiological effects of trauma. Pilates is a way to claim strength and presence over our bodies!
