Growing up with 3 brothers meant being competitive. So I played all kinds of sports and spent a lot of time working out in the gym. Fast forward my life to the Covid era. During Covid, I took a break, like a lot of people did and when we were all free from captivity and free to go outside and play again, I decided to try Pilates. I felt the difference right away. Training in the gym felt a little robotic. What I loved about Pilates was moving my body in all kinds of different ways that I hadn't done before. It felt free and movement was fun. A few months after I started, I got into Teacher Training and soon became an instructor. Maybe that seems normal for some people, but for me after being an attorney for 20+ years and a real estate broker, it seemed like a strange career choice for me. But after I retired in late 2022, I wanted to do something I liked to do and it didn't matter what it was. Just something challenging in a different way. And here I am, a fish out of water, usually running to court for a hearing, or involved in a real estate deal, I'm leading a class to move our bodies in all planes of motion. And most importantly, enjoying life and connecting with people in the Pilates studio. I'm still competitive. Ask anyone who takes my classes. If you're looking for someone to kick your butt, or give you some encouragement to just try your best, meet me in the studio and start your journey.
