Starting as a competitive dancer at a young age, Shalynn grew up loving all things movement. She was drawn to Pilates as a form of rehabilitation for her “dancer” knees. Shalynn’s love of Pilates continued to grow and she decided to expand her knowledge of the exercise method, so she enrolled in the Pilates certification program. She would describe her teaching style as “disciplined” with a focus on flow, alignment, and proper muscle engagement… but being able to laugh and find joy in moving with a likeminded community is just as important. She believes the best instructors are lifelong learners; don’t be surprised if you see her in one of your classes!
