As a strong advocate for movement, Melissa has been practicing Pilates for 12 years to complement her passion for running. She found that the strength created through her Pilates workouts resulted in measurable improved running form (i.e. more efficiency and fewer injuries). She also loves the fact that Pilates can be practiced at any stage of life - while injured, pregnant, or managing a long-term condition. There’s always a modification that will help each person get a great workout.
Melissa was a Founding Member of Club Pilates Lake Highlands and was thrilled when the studio opened less than a mile from her house. Although she moved to the burbs a few years ago, she is thrilled to come back to the Lake Highlands team and studio as a teacher.
When not teaching, Melissa enjoys hanging out with her family, running, practicing yoga, and continuing to expand her knowledge in fitness and wellness.
