Kristen Baker
Instructor
Kristen is a Balanced Body certified Pilates Instructor. She first fell in love with Pilates during college as a means to rehab from extensive daily training. Kristen grew up competing in various sports, and ending her athletic career as a high jumper at the University of Oklahoma, earning several Big 12 conference medals (2nd to 6th places), all-academic Dean's Honor roll honors , and qualified for and competed in the NCAA D1 National Championships. Kristen received the Dan Gibbons award for outstanding athletic and academic achievement, representing the women in her graduating class. Upon graduation, she earned her Personal Training certification and moved to Colorado where she began training clients and coaching young athletes. While competing for her first fitness competition in 2015, she fell in love with nutrition and completed her Fitness Nutrition certification thereafter. She continued practicing pilates to work through old athletics injuries and finally started teaching Pilates in 2018 after completing her Balanced Body Mat training. She became Balanced Body Comprehensively trained in 2019. She thoroughly enjoys exploring movement and combining athletic functional training with Pilates. She knows the importance that health and fitness is to a wholesome life and she aims to give back to others and young athletes by sharing her love for being healthy and active by nourishing your mind, body, and soul in each class.
