Pilates Instructor
Laurence has always been passionate about health and knew that she could not take her own for granted. This gives her the drive and compassion to share her knowledge and expertise with anyone in need. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences (2002) and her Master’s in Oriental Medicine (2008) with New York College of Health Professions. She is a licensed New York and North Carolina acupuncturist and herbalist. She incorporated Tai Qi Chu’an in her practice in the 1990s under the close mentorship of Judith Weaver, a direct student of late professor Cheng Man Ching. Laurence had a
thriving family practice on Long Island, NY for 16 years until moving to North Carolina.
She discovered Pilates in 2010 while looking to alleviate her own lower back pain and appreciating furthermore the impact of precise movements on our health and wellbeing. She immediately became a member of Club Pilates. Soon wanted to know more, she earned her Club Pilates Instructor certification.
Laurence’s goal is to make the benefits of Pilates accessible at any age and facilitating ease of movement and fitness that can benefit us all.
