Growing up in Colorado I was always an active outdoors person. I knew that I had a passion for fitness and nutrition and the desire to help others reach their fitness goals. Getting an overweight friend to start eating healthier and working out, or just being there for someone to talk to, I had a knack for helping others get fit, even as a teenager. One of my passions in life is singing and playing guitar. I studied Music Performance in College and still love it to this day. Throughout my life, exercise and nutrition have always been important to me. While still living in Denver, one of my friends told me about a form of exercise called Pilates. They told me that Pilates would give me some of the same results as weightlifting plus the added benefit of more lean muscle and flexibility. I thought it sounded great and began practicing Pilates. After several months my body started to change and became more lean and defined. I was hooked! When I moved to California several years ago I found a wonderful Pilates instructor who I started training with. When I saw the changes he was making in people's lives, I knew that I wanted to do the same. That’s when I decided to get certified as a Pilates instructor. I received my Mat and Apparatus certifications through Mind Body Connection in San Francisco. During my certification process I had the benefit of working with some of the very best Pilates professionals in the Bay Area. I learned so much about the body and what goes into being a top-notch instructor during that time and am now able to apply those learning’s with my own clients. Since being certified I continue to further my education by attending Pilates on Tour conferences through out the U.S. Pilates on Tour is designed for Pilates instructors and offers a variety of workshops with some of the best instructors from around the world.
