I was introduced to Pilates my freshman year of college when I had the opportunity to do a research paper on arthritis. I was diagnosed with arthritis a year before starting college and felt lost on how to deal with it. I started researching and found Pilates was one of the most recommended types of exercise to alleviate symptoms. I started with Mat Pilates and about a year ago, was introduced to the Reformer and loved it. After taking my first class, I instantly knew that I wanted to teach and help others experience the awesome benefits Pilates has to offer.
