Melinda Asimakos
Instructor
Melinda was born on the central coast of California and began dancing at age 3. She received her B.A. in Creative Writing from Pepperdine University while simultaneously continuing her dance training in Los Angeles. Upon graduation, she danced, choreographed, and directed for six years with Cantinas Arts Foundation. During that time, a serious back and hip injury led her to discover the healing power of Pilates. After her first week of classes, she was pain free for the first time in a year! Melinda was inspired to become a certified instructor so that she could help others have a greater quality of life and discover the healing power of movement. She completed her 500 hour certification under master trainer Nikkita Weerasinghe and has been teaching now for over four years. Her family moved from Los Angeles, CA to Greenville a year ago and are very grateful for their church community, the surrounding natural beauty, and the opportunity to raise their two daughters in such a family-friendly place. Melinda loves inspiring clients to connect more deeply with their bodies and creating an uplifting class environment. She is honored and excited to be a part of the Club Pilates family!
