Mary Johlfs

Mary Johlfs

Instructor
Mary began practicing Pilates in 2001 as a complement to marathon training. With a regular practice she began to enjoy the benefits that Pilates training brought to her running: increased flexibility and strength, better balance and alignment, and injury prevention. Eager to share her love of Pilates with others, Mary completed mat and reformer training through Powerhouse Pilates in 2006. She completed her comprehensive training in 2008 through Harmony Pilates, Pittsburgh, PA and is a NCPT (Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher). Additionally Mary is certified through Pilates for Neurological Conditions to work with clients with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, stroke, and other central nervous system injuries and diseases. Mary has experience working with clients from athletes to seniors, and with a variety of conditions including pregnancy, joint replacement, osteopenia, osteoporosis, stenosis, and post surgical. She truly believes Pilates is for EVERY body! Mary and her husband relocated to Southwest Florida in 2020. They are PADI certified SCUBA divers and enjoy diving in their free time. Fun fact: they were married at 50 feet underwater! They live in Cape Coral with their rescue beagle Jack.
