Courtney began her Pilates journey in an effort to improve her health and fitness. After trying other workouts, Pilates became her go-to workout with the perfect blend of strengthening, stretching, and movement. Courtney's passion for Pilates was sparked by her own health challenges— she was in my late 20s, feeling older than she should, and dealing with joint pain and fatigue. These issues along with remembering her grandmother’s struggles with mobility due to diabetes caused Courtney to realize how precious movement truly is. Pilates gave Courtney a new appreciation for what her body is capable of, and she brings that energy into her teaching every day. Courtney began teaching in 2023 and holds certifications in TRX, Mat Pilates, and Reformer Pilates.
In Courtney's classes, you can expect to be challenged and encouraged to discover strength you didn’t know you had. She believes in pushing oneself and staying present, embracing every movement, and connecting deeply with your body. It’s not just about exercise; it’s about appreciating what your body can do in the moment.
Courtney creates an upbeat, welcoming atmosphere—complete with pop music and a sense of fun. While she takes movement seriously, Courtney believes we can enjoy the process and not take ourselves too seriously. She is proud of the community we’ve built in class—it’s like being part of a big, supportive family where everyone motivates each other.
