Laura found Pilates through her own body rehabilitation journey after suffering from a circus injury that kept her grounded for some time. While in Physical Therapy, she was told she needed to balance her flexibility training with stability and strength and that Pilates would be a helpful place to start. Her first classes were with Club Pilates, where the transformation began to take shape, and in time her pain and physical symptoms were gone. Pilates helped her to return to aerial and circus practice, teaching, and performance. After witnessing the impact personally, Laura desired to learn and share the Pilates principles and methods with her students. She soon enrolled in the Balanced Body comprehensive program where she learned both classical and contemporary styles within a rehabilitative lens, learning to always "do what is best for the body in front of you". Her goal in teaching is to help every individual find freedom in their body, freedom through movement.
