Laura
Instructor
Laura is on a mission to advance more of what matters in the world - more of what’s good for people and the planet. She's always been an active person, but, at the age of 15, she was diagnosed with a degenerative disc disease. It was a devastating blow when doctors told her that her spine looked like that of a 70-year-old, that she would never have a day without pain, and that she would have to stop the distance runs and other activities she loved if she ever hoped to regain feeling in her feet and legs. Laura credits Pilates with decompressing her spine and nearly eliminating the pain, tingling, and hopelessness she’d felt. In 2010, Laura became a Pilates instructor to help other people experience the kind of "toe touchable” mornings and days of limitless possibility she'd discovered through Pilates. When she isn’t at the studio helping people get the most out of life, Laura can be found running, doing yoga, and branding and marketing all kinds of good causes - from small businesses and towns to billion dollar fundraising campaigns and even nonprofits organizations - through her company Urgently Good. She’s always ready with a crisp high-five and believes all things in life, including Pilates, require dedication, intention, motivation, and a sense of humor.
