I have a BA in Dance from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. I began my Pilates education with STOTT Pilates® and later completed the Comprehensive Bridge program through Balanced Body®. I am certified in Bodhi Suspension System®, Total Barre®, and have completed trainings in CoreAlign® and Hot Yoga. I completed my 200 RYT through Green Lotus Yoga and Healing Center in 2012. I have always felt lucky to have some level of fitness incorporated in my life. Growing up I ran track, played soccer, swam, and played tennis. For cross training I did cross country skiing and downhill skiing for fun. Many years later I was able to lead yoga through the REI Outdoor School Program and taught classes on SUP, SUP Yoga, Kayaking, Learn to Rock Climb and How to Ride a Bike for kids. I love spending time with my family, going on adventures, and spending time on or near the water. I don’t have a favorite Pilates exercise but I do love spine articulation in many forms. I also love to help people with their journey in movement. A goal of my teaching is to help others learn more about their body so that they can feel confident in movement as well as feel that it is within their reach to live a functional and strong life.
