Carolynn started practicing Pilates in 2019 and it is a part of her routine every week. Her family knows how important it is to get her Pilates in – it has power to change the course of a day. Carolynn is the mother of two daughters in their 20’s and first tried Pilates with her youngest who was dancing at the time and was coping with a back injury. It is not an overstatement to say it changed Carolynn’s life. Fitness and exercise have been a part of her routine for many years but the practice of Pilates by far is her favorite. Carolynn is a retired Naval officer and exercise was an important part of managing a demanding and stressful lifestyle. She finds that Pilates brings a deep level of mind body connection with physical and mental benefits unlike any other form of physical fitness. Previously Carolynn taught childbirth classes and provided breastfeeding support to new mothers. The body has always fascinated Carolynn and helping people lead a healthy lifestyle is important to her. She pursued teacher training so she could share the joy of Pilates with as many people as she can. Carolynn completed Club Pilates teacher training in the fall of 2022.
