June’s journey into Pilates began years ago at the YMCA taking mat classes alongside other fitness classes. June has been teaching yoga since 2011 and found Pilates to be the perfect complement. After years of the rigorous practice of Tae Kwon Do had wreaked havoc on her body, the low impact, intelligent sequencing of yoga and Pilates healed her body.
Moving into her 50s June’s goals shifted to strength and building on the strong foundation yoga and mat Pilates had given her. After her first reformer class, she was hooked! A reformer workout gave her everything she was looking for and more! Strength, stability, balance, co-ordination, lubrication – the whole package! Feeling the benefits of reformer Pilates inspired her to share this gift with others and study to become a teacher with Club Pilates. June loves to say ‘Pilates has changed my body and my life’!
