Tracy
Lead Instructor
Tracy Ramsay was introduced to Pilates at the age of 12, while training as a classical dancer at The Center for Ballet Arts in Virginia. She pursued a Musical Theatre/Education degree, and went on to perform in numerous professional musicals. This path took Tracy to England, where she earned her Matwork and Barre certifications. She broke into the London fitness industry, training celebrities in their homes and managing a successful Barre studio. She later moved to Los Angeles, where she completed the BASI Pilates Comprehensive Program with a Dance Specialization, created by Rael Isacowitz, a 2nd generation Pilates mentor, and Karen Clippinger, kinesiologist and former dancer. Tracy was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 13, followed by a second diagnosis of Lupus, and has found Pilates to be a saving grace in pain management. She has extensive experience working with clients of all ages and ability levels, and has worked with everyone from triathletes to clients struggling with serious injuries or illnesses. She specializes in working with competitive athletes, pre- and post-natal mothers, and clients struggling with autoimmune disease. She believes that Pilates is truly for everyBODY, and can change anyone’s life for the better. Tracy is a certified TRX coach and Barre instructor. She teaches group classes and is available for private training at Maryland Farms, Belle Meade, and Cool Springs (opening November 2019). In her spare time, she loves singing, hiking, and cheering on her New Orleans Saints!
