Denise
Instructor
Denise has always loved being active from elementary recess to competing in track and basketball in high school as well as cheerleading at her university. This enjoyment of being active along with her love for people led to her on-going career as a fitness professional, which she began over 3 decades ago. She continued teaching health and fitness while working as a track and basketball coach after college, through 4 pregnancies, for 8 years living in Dubai, UAE, and now with the "aging body". Her strength is her desire to encourage and help others toward their wellness and fitness goals by helping to identify incorrect movement patterns and communicate improved body positioning and movement for each client. She works with all generations and fitness levels from the aging client in post-rehab, to the elite athlete striving for improved movement, to teaching neutral-spine exercises to specialty clients. Certifications and trainings include: BS from Angelo State University, Stott Pilates, Stott ISP, Stott Total Barre, ACE Group Fitness Instructor, aqua fitness, TRX, Trigger Point's SMR, and Piloxing. Denise is currently working towards her certification in The Biomechanics Method of Corrective Exercise. This year (2020), she celebrated her 30th anniversary with her husband, Dr. Dan Marshall, pastor of Faith Bible Church; they have 4 sons and 1 beautiful daughter-in-law.
