Amy Tunnell
Certified Pilates Instructor
Amy has been a dancer her whole life, with main focus on West African dance and the Latin styles, such as Salsa and Bachata. Her love of dance led her to becoming a Zumba Fitness Instructor in 2008, and to opening her own business in 2010 to teach Zumba. In 2017 Amy joined a Club Pilates to tone up a bit and in the process found that Pilates relieved her low back pain, which was diagnosed 4 years prior due to long hours at a desk in her full time job. Amy fell in love with the practice of Pilates right away and she has now completed her 500 hour Comprehensive Pilates Instructor Training. She has now made Pilates and Zumba Instruction her full time endeavors.
Amy has discovered that Pilates is the perfect balance to her dancing, both mentally and physically and is at her lowest weight and best toned shape since before her pregnancy, in 2005. When not on the dance floor or at the Pilates studio, Amy loves to spend time with her son and enjoys adventures back country skiing, backpacking, and traveling internationally. Pilates helped Amy recover from a torn ACL as well has repaired her SI joint dis-function. It has made her pain free and stronger to enjoy her active lifestyle. Amy loves having a profession in which she can help people feel and be their best.
